Here’s a huge shocker: Fox News somehow “managed” to land the first post-election interview with Sarah Palin. Aren’t you shocked?

Yeah, neither am I. Go figure — the most biased network that was friendliest to McCain’s campaign throughout this past election cycle getting to interview their favorite VP pick first before the other “real” news networks isn’t much of a surprise. Still, since that’s a Fox News article right there, let’s give it the deluxe snark treatment anyway.

Fox News beat out several other networks to be the first to talk with Palin after her failed vice presidential bid, including requests by Barbara Walters, Oprah Winfrey, Larry King and others.

I don’t think Fox News “beat out” other networks so much as Palin deciding to talk with friends rather than endure undoubtedly painful interview sessions with news outlets that are rightfully wondering “what the fuck were you thinking?”

An interview with Walters, King, or even Winfrey would have involved more of those pesky questions she’s so bad at answering (probably not so much with Winfrey, but still, I doubt she’d have been completely “nice”), while a visit to Fox News just means a friendly chat amongst allies, discussing how stupid everybody that isn’t a Republican is.

In recent days, she has been facing a hail of criticism from some former McCain campaign staffers who say that she was misinformed about several foreign affairs issues and was at odds with McCain strategists.

It’s interesting how she’s apparently only now facing that hail of criticism. Did she and Fox News just have us all on ignore during the actual campaign? I sure do remember hearing lots of legitimate complaints during the election cycle about Palin.

OMFG! That’s amazing. Sarah has been booked so full with interviews, that it’s practically a miracle for FOX to secure one!!!! Especially since they’ve been so hostile towards her.
