Melbourne International Airport is a small airport servicing Melbourne, Florida. It’s a tiny little place, with eight gates, one terminal, two security screening lines (one of which is almost never open), and one baggage claim carousel.

Okay, now for part deux of the Vegas whirlwind tour.

Wednesday — Kingman, Arizona and Laughlin, Nevada

Part of my friend’s desire to head to Vegas was to see a piece of property he and his siblings had recently inherited. It was just outside Kingman, Arizona. Time for another 2 hour road trip! Ironically the land was so remote that we never actually managed to find it (d’oh!), but we did see the big empty chunks of dirt out in the Arizona desert, and we’re pretty sure one of them was the one he owns now

We stopped through Laughlin, Nevada, as well; the little town provides a decidedly more relaxed version of the whole gambling thing, and it also featured something I’d been eager to revisit since I last lived in Vegas — an In-n-Out Burger. Yeah, Vegas has a few too, but we hadn’t had a chance yet to stop in at one and this one was too good to pass up. For under twenty bucks, four of us ate lots of tasty, yummy food. As I mentioned a couple weeks ago (yeesh, it’s been awhile since a post, eh?), I found myself on a few airplanes in the past week. Thanks to a remarkably generous birthday gift I was offered back in April, I was invited by a friend to go with him and his family to Las Vegas, Nevada for a week-long vacation getaway.

Enough cool stuff (and stuff-that’s-fun-to-laugh-at) happened to fill a dozen blog entries, so tonight I’m going to offer up the short version, and list just a breakdown of what we ended up doing all week. Highlights will be included, too. This was a seriously fun trip. Read the full story...

I finally uploaded some pictures from the Halloween night festivities at Kelley’s in a new photo gallery; have a look to see lots of costumes (including some from the costume contest) and assorted antics. There’s more coming as well from the Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando from a few weeks back; I just need to get those filtered & uploaded.
